STEREOSCOPIC PROJECTION 1613
In Francois D'Aguilon's (1566-1617) treatise on optics we find the term Stereoscopic Projection (book 6 of 6 books). One extant edition of this book called 'Opticorum Libri Sex' was published in Antwerp in 1685.
The Flemish Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) illustrated 'Opticorum Libri Sex' for D'Aguilon.
